Not really, there are a lot of examples @ good-AMS-acceleration times. 997 GT2 3,6 s, 997 Turbo 3,7 s, E55 AMG in 2002 4,4 s, Murcielago in 2001 3,6 s, SL65 AMG 3,9 s, 599 GTB Fiorano 3,5 s - these are (much) better times than factory claims). Their testing method is the same as Sport Auto's: full acceleration without ESP with 2 persons. Good or bad times depends only on car's mileage, weather and track conditions.
