Like which ones? All MB, Audi and BMW's AWD models(non SUV) have standard ground clearance.
Sure you might argue that one should go all the way and buy an SUV but for some, an A6 allroad serve their needs just fine. An SUV is more expensive to buy and to own.
Some people aren't going to drive on sand dunes or through alligator swamps and just need an ordinary car which can take some dirt.
If you ask me, I would never buy an allroad. Too expensive and only cost 400 euro less than a Q7.
