Looks like a good place to mount some kind of storage container since the car has so few places to keep things. I've been trying to order the trunk drawer (had one in my W203) but it seems to have become non-existent in the parts catalog. |
The diesel powered cars have their batteries in the boot/trunk.
Petrol engined ones have them in the engine compartment underneath what I would describe as an odd shaped black plastic cover with circular swirls, normally on the passenger side, I wonder why they put it there. Connectors to facilitate jump starting can be found close to the battery.
