No it isn't.
It's right that design chiefs give the directions but that doesn't mean that every work that comes out of the studio is their own. It's unfair and disrespectful towards the designer who actually did all the work. I bet he's quite pissed off of his chief for bringing this statement in every interview about the A5!
It's sometimes understandable when the press credits chief designers for every car from their studios (they still insist that Bangle designed the 7er!) but I don't understad why a design chief himself claims such things
