That is the million-dollar question. We like this car, so how much will we actually get, and what's going to be watered-down by the time it hits the assembly line?

The cool wing mirrors are awesome and probably won't make the cut, but then again, there's nothing about their design that counts them out... I'm holding onto hope that they'll actually be produced, because those sleek mirrors are one of the key elements that reinforce the idea that this is a coupe-like SUV, and not a lumbering off-roader.

I'm very curious abou the "invisible pillar" design of the windows. We can see in the photos at the b-pillar is present, so it's safe to guess that this vehicle is close to production build - much like an "MB Vision" concept. I'm wondering - can this flush-glass look be produced? Is this something new for BMW? Could it be?!

All in all - there's plenty of reason for us GCFs to hold out hope that BMW will actually go to production with an X6 very, very close to what we see here. The majority of this vehicle looks ready for prime time, and the more ambitious bits are plausible candidates for real-world implementation.

ON A BIG SIDE NOTE - The Hoffmeister Kink is alive and well! Remember all that RFK buzz that had us thinkin that the Hoff' would morph into something terrible like THIS?

On another side note - Does the X6 spell the end to Bangle-era design anxiety? BMW has been batting nothing but home-runs for the past 5 or so model introductions and now seems almost incapable of doing wrong. Lord knows the X6 could have easily been a turkey. If they can do this for the awkward sport-softroader segment, just think of what's in store for the 7er.
