Re: Hybrid Porsche Cayenne to average 26.8MPG - 07-27-2007, 01:27 PM

Flirting with Al gore using hybrid engines is all cute and very considerate of Porsche but it doesn't flatter me. The hybrid Caynne will take the price for the most pointless car ever.

Let's face the people who'll buy it will be telling themselves;

I want a car with exceptional handling.
I kind of have kids so I want it to be practical.
Half of my female friends drive SUVs so I want one to.
I want low fuel consumption so hybrid is a must.

IMO the hybrid in a 2.2ton Porsche SUV is as useless as a condom is to a married lesbian couple. There are sooooooooo many better choices for economical cars. The Cayenne doesn't only guzzle gas like crazy but it is one of the most expensive family cars out there. The whole idea of a hybrid car with a weight over 2 tons is a waste IMO.

Oxymoron x 10
