You are right Marcus. If Ford sell Volvo they'll be pretty much digging their own grave. Jaguar and Land Rover are IMO two manufacturer which should be sold together.

Ford is really in a tough seat. Volvo is the brand with most potential but it is also the brand in the most competitive segment. Right now Volvo is worth a good sum and if sold it could patch up the mother company's economy. Ford itself has a pretty attractive and respectable line up here in Europe so they aren't completely doomed.

For their own good I hope that they have well thought out long term plans because once Volvo, Jag and Rover are sold they won't have any valuable companies to dispose off for a quick cash flow.
