Well I don't know what the Canadian diesel market is like, and how it compares/contrast with the American diesel car market, but I'd think if they we're going to sell it in Canada they'd also want to sell it here? It appears there are many Americans who wouldn't mind driving a Cooper D, and on top of that with the way Mini's are sold here(limited supply in dealer inventory, cars are built to order) they wouldn't be making too big a gamble in selling it here.
