Looking at the engine specs one might believe so but from all the reviews I have read in magazines and from people on the net, the Cayman is spectacular offers a unique mid engine experience. But at the same time I can understand it from your point of view. It is very pricey and the money of a Cayman S can buy you an M3. Just about every reviewer have been amazed by the agility, perfect balance and rigidity of the car. Sometimes there is more to it than just horse power, especially when it comes to Porsche cars.

But I do feel that the Cayman should get it's power bumped up, and it will, next year when both it and the 911 gets a face lift. It will need that in order to stop some of Porsche customers from heading over to the others German brands for a C63, M3 or RS5.
