Also RR models will get ED features in the future ... Even a RR active hybrid is being considered.
Lower fuel consumption never hurts - when performance stays the same, or it is even improved.
Mind that current ED features (auto Stop & Start, BER, ...) are same features that can be found in hybrid cars. The only difference is BMW Group cars come without electric drive (& battery).
