BMW M5 Touring Review - 05-30-2007, 09:52 AM

Fast mover - Eric Gallina

Performance:
V10 is supremely powerful, devouring motorway miles with ease.

Engine & Transmission:
M5's engine is simply brilliant; although the SMG 'box won't suit everyone.

Ride & Handling:
Comfortable ride when required, though the sports suspension thuds over bumps on the firmer settings; carves through corners like no estate should though.

Fuel Economy:
V10 is astronomically thirsty.

Tactility:
Build and material quality are at very high standards.

Appearance:
Discreet body shell cloaks F1 mechanicals.

Interior:
Ergonomic cockpit is beset with technology.

Safety:
Four-star Euro NCAP rating for the previous model; no results yet for the update.

Equipment & Value for Money:
Expensive, but warrants the money. Is fully loaded as standard.
