BTW, I remember hearing that the CLK63 is so fast now, that out of some of the corners the F1 cars find it hard to keep up, due to all the torque. Imagine if they started to use the SLR or CL65, that would be awesome! |
Maybe on some slow corners were the aero of the F1s doesn't kick in. But F1 cars are the fastest cornering machines ever build. The can corner on ocasions faster that the top speeds of 90%+ of cars.
On the Turn 8 tri-corner at Turkey a production car will be lucky to reach 100
Km/h at 1G, other race cars 150 Km/h at 1.5 g while F1 cars 300 Km/h at 6G.
You simply cannot touch F1 cars on the corners, especially the fast ones.
