State side MK2 TT's sightings thread... - 05-14-2007, 01:30 AM

Saw my first batch of MK2 TT's over @ Beverly Hills Porsche/Audi today!!! Quite a looker in person, both exterior and interior designs are coordinated well. The interior is a HUGE improvement over the old car, though indeed as many auto journals have said, some of the old cars magic has been lost on the inside. However, it's still a very well done overall design execution. Interior room is also much much better than in the old car, my legs have room to roam, which is amazing, and there's NO shortage of headroom(a sound check off the box for taller prospects). Backseat space sucks, but hey, who cares? - The TT wasn't made for sitting pretty with the kiddies. Sitting drivers seat, I got a real sense of occasion even while stationary, could totally see myself driving the car on a daily basis(no lie, bit of day dreaming here), I really couldn't care less about there not being a sunroof in this sort of car, supposedly a "real" sports car, and from what I know these sorts are solid tin tops. I haven't driven one yet, but I plan to and will be sure to share my thoughts. From a visual and factual assessment alone, if I were a young professional who put in some serious hours at the job and was looking to reward himself for a job well done, this would indeed be my reward.
