Americans expect that, it's a different market, different cultures. Here in Europe, buyers are more wary of what is in cars. A lot of people here don't want something that Americans take for granted.
Best example, not many Europeans want electric seats in their E-Class, hence it is an option. In America, this would never fly, it has to be offered.
