R8 all-LED headlight unit is definitely the most sophisticated & technologically advanced production (!) headlight unit I 've seen recently.

But for how long? LED is the future ... Sooner or later other manufacturers will come with similar solutions. The system is developed yet too expensive to be featured on mid-range or low-end cars. Currently only very expensive cars feature all-LED headlight systems.
