It only appears expensive to live in because the cars are expensive - the government just doesn't want us to buy cars, because we're already overcrowding.  Stuff like food, clothing and necessities are cheap, you can get a steak for US10. |
That doesn't sound too bad then. My uncles (dad's friends) are Singaporean of Indian descent, but they've been in the US for so long that they don't know how things are there now adays.
