That is what they tell you. I have fixed two of mine and they are holding pressure for about 7 months now.
I have noticed that long as you have about 20psi of pressure in the tire, the sidewalls are are not supporting the full load and can be repaired. On the otherhand, if the pressure is very low in the sense that the sidewalls are the primary loading bearing component of the tires, then I am afraid you may need to have them replaced.
