286 HP from a 3 liter = 95.3 HP/litre = european ratio = good on displacement tax vs. HP

330 HP from a 4.5 litre = 73.3 HP/litre = american ratio = bad on displacement tax vs. HP

on a 95.3 ratio for 330 HP you would need 3.15 litre engine, not a 4.5.
