That said I too wish they'd just forget about it if they aren't going to make it a truly sporting piece. If this 1-Series Coupe looks the part this C Coupe won't stand a chance. It can't drive like a C-Class sedan, Mercedes didn't seem to grasp that with the previous model and there is the styling. Why not make it a real little coupe with 2-doors and a trunk like a smaller CLK/CL instead of a hatchback. A Mercedes is never supposed to be a hatchback, well beyond the A/B-Class cars they aren't.

A RWD hatchback would be a more proper Merc than a FWD mini MPV like the A/B klasse.
Not having a proper hatchback can mean letting competitors to feed with those sales.
