I agree with that Christian. In the same way, the V6 models of flagships like the S/A8/7er are also criticised too. Who the heck cares if the car is underpowered - it's still the same car, and that's good enough for most people and in reality for most situations. In fact models like the I4 3er and the V6/I6 flagships are the bestsellers.
