Interesting thing about driving music for me...
The heavier it is and the harder I drive, the more lairy and hooligan my driving style becomes, with consequences mainly on tyre wear

.
So, Linkin Park and Lost Prophets are awesome but at the cost of some seriously fluffy tyre shoulders. I find that I drive smoother and corner quicker when I'm not rushing things so the less than hard-core stuff is better suited to a clinical drive.
I have a couple of favourites - both singles and full albums that really get me in the mood for a good drive (in no particular order...) :
Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence (maxi single; favourite song of all time)
Depeche Mode - Get the Balance Right (maxi single; second favourite song of all time)
Chicane - Behind the Sun (brilliant for a midnight dash down to the coast)
The Killers - Hot Fuss (brilliant, up beat rock-pop)
Razorlight - Up all Night (stunning in-car atmosphere for any situation)
Fabolous - Breathe
Knoc'turnal - My Music (I always think of the Transporter movie with this one)
Gorillaz - Dare
Stereophonics - Superman
Foo Fighters - Any album
U2 - All that you can't leave behind
Interpol - Antics (Deep, retro, mind focussing stuff)
Mylo - Drop the Pressure (this song makes me drive like an utter hooligan)
Dave Leatherman - Eple
Motorcycle - As the Rush Comes (every version is just sooo good to drive to)
Depeche Mode - All (did I mention I love Depeche Mode...?)
Lost Prophets - Start Something
Linkin Park - Meteora (in particular)
Massive Attack - Teardrop
The Chemical Brothers - Galvanise (huge bass in that song!)
Paul Oakenfold - Great Wall (in particular, though I like just about all of his stuff)

and there's obviously a whole span more.
