And the Japanese (mainly Toyota) have the habit of overstating figures. Mainly power and fuel economy ones.
I remember some years ago when a Greek car magazine put head to head Audi A4 (B6) 2.0 lt and Lexus IS200. Audi was supposed to have 130 hp but the dyno showed around 140 and the Lexus was supposed to have 155 hp but the dyno showed around 144. So in theory the two cars had 25 hp difference but in reality the difference was only 4 hp.
PS. No need to say that A4 had won the comparo.
