Paris Hilton could almost be held up as the poster child for her generation -- she is used to getting everything she wants without any effort and without much gratitude. She expects everyone to adore her, but it has never occurred to her that respect is earned. She is utterly self-absorbed, self-indulgent, excessively vain, immature, spoiled, and intellectually and emotionally underdeveloped. She is typical of some children who are born wealthy -- she has already won the lottery of life, so she has never had to bother to do anything particularly useful or productive -- instead, she can devote all her time to indulging and obsessing over her trivial life. The saddest thing is, at some stage, whether it be the 2000th Hermès handbag, or Gucci shawl, her 100,000th party invitation, with yet another designer party dress to acquire, or just something as mundane as her 7th husband; eventually, perhaps, she will wonder, what, with all the opportunities and privileges I was given, have I actually done with my life? ........the sad and truthful answer will likely be, not much.
