What is in the pipe for the 1-series lineup?

I was just wondering if something has yet to be released in the 1-series lineup before it is due for a new generation?

2 liter I4 turbo engine? Will we have the 3 liter I6 272 hp NA engine? Any further bits presented within the Performance concept? Hybrids?

Give me all you have!

I think they gonna make a "allroad" version of the 1 series 5dr( besides the X1) Bmw only makes trucks now so don't wait for nothing.

Eni has mentioned an X2....more or less playing off the 2001 X Coupe.
And there's been talk of a Z2 built up from the 1-series platform.
Both, I hope, are inked in for production.

Seeing a 4-banger offered in future North American 1-series just seems inevitable don't you think? - this would be big news for American consumers.
no matter what the price of gas (down over $1.50 per-gallon in the last month in my area from a high of $4.17)...it seems to be an unstoppable trend.

After this seeringly insightful comment you should take the rest of the day off and treat yourself to an ice cream. Come back tomorrow - the rest of us couldn't possibly cope with more earth-shattering wisdom in one day.

I agree with you, I4 engines for the American market will happen, sooner than later. That is where I think the upcomming 2 liter turbo engine comes into play.

Light and efficient is the way to go if the world is to adopt the European way of embracing the four pot.
