^ In the 1-series coupé you mean? What BMW needs is a high revving NA I6 alu/magnesium M powerhouse. There is a huge empty void now since the new M3 has a V8 and there is no M model for the 1er. |

Hi-rev NA engines are dead! That's a cruel fact. In a few years petrol turbos will completely dominate the field. Diesels are already turbocharged. Only some super-sporty brands will still offer high-rev engines - but even that's not sure: perhaps only in combination with KERS or hybrid system. Exhaust gas emissions regulation is the reason. Want a hi-rev I6? Buy E46 M3. |

No more Turbo s for me. High rev engines are so much more sheer driving fun. I would buy a turbo but only diesel for driving daily. For getting youre hair on fire an high atmo please. That s awesome. give me 130i over an 135i turbo anyday. If turbo s is the only choice at bmw i only buy second hand. |
