Is this a 1-series tii test mule?

What are they testing on this 1-series test mule? Bumper scoops look different.

it seems to be a prototype, but wearing the normal M kit - that lips in the bumper just seem to be uncolored

That lip is uncolored on the normal 135i as well. That pic only looks different because of the angle it was shot, and the lighting.

Didn't Scott say somewhere long time ago that the 120CSi is coming out with a 2lt turbo engine?

Maybe that's what they're working on...

By the way...have a look at the front kidney grills...they are black. Remember that only 4cyl BMW models have black grills...all the 6cyl ones have chrome kidney grills.

If nothing new than why test in Death Valley in hot summer? Wish the guy had taken some rear pics too.

Nobody is saying there is nothing new. We only say that the front bumpers are identical.
