------------------------------------------------ 135i includes M-package and Brembo brakes. 335i dont have Brembo brakes and M-package isnt included in the price. Add that to 335i and the price difference is larger than $5,000. | |

I think they're about the same, in terms of looks. 335i is more classically elegant and beautiful, the 135i being more muscular/butch, yet still playing light quite brilliantly off its lines and creases. It has a purposeful, bulldog-like stance. "stigma of being BMW's 'entry-level' car" LOL, I've seen such snobbishness being displayed by 3 Series owners against 1 Series owners. Sadly, this will probably play out in sales performance of the 1er coupe in the US, where we already have an unfortunate "bigger is better" attitude. |

Fortunately BMW will sell every last 1er coupe it brings over, because as long as people keeping buying cars based off the prestige factor and perceived positive image, and heck now this car comes in at an attainable price point, surely they'll sell. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Edmunds: 135i road test It's ridiculous how some people can look down on the 1er when they drive a car like the 3er for example... not exactly a rare car at all. This article is yet another proof of how the 135i is not like the 335i in terms of driving dynamics. While the weight could be lower, this car just means total business if it is being compared to Sti's |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Edmunds: 135i road test Hope you are right, Deutsch. With the weak US dollar, poor economy, and tanking BMW sales the past 2 months, I'm not so sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Think this is the first test to publish comprehensive interior dimensions on the 1er coupe. Not too cramped considering the short length and inline-6. Rougly the same front & rear legroom as a V6 G37 coupe, despite being over 10 inches shorter and having a larger trunk. Having sat in one yesterday, I felt there was perfectly adequate space for average size occupants front and rear. Only problem I'd imagine would be 6+ footers front and rear for long trips... edmunds' subjective braking comments are pretty puzzling though. It rated only a "very good" while the G37 rated "excellent" despite the G37's longer stopping distances and noticeable fade. |
