Just_me, a Quafie differential is about £1,100 incl. fitting at Birds in England, maybe abut £800 should you feel the urge to fit it yourself =)

I think that would discount most Mercs (optional on the new C63 I think), all Audis, Cayman, some 911s (I think it is optional on most except the GT3 and GT2), F430 Scuderia (which has an ediff like the 135. I am not sure about if the normal one has an LSD) and host of other performance cars.

Guys the ediff isn t that bad. Ok for the real purists a real lsd is better.

Drexler and quaife are also better than Mdiffs. Mdiff have wheelspin on 1 wheel for about second then it does its job. Drexler does it work inmediatly. Only downside is it give more mechanical sound and does n t work nicely with dsc turned on. I almost drive all the time with dsc completly off or dtc modus.

For daily use some drifting and occasional track use and youre no diehard trackjunkie the Ediff is perfect.

We are starting to get a lot of feedback on this e-diff subject on other boards. Most people say the 135i will never drift properly and never be able to make both rear wheels spin at the same time for more than a second... and if it looks like it on the videos that is just because it was in the wet.

People are very sceptical when it comes to this type of things and no less so when it is from BMW.

To my mind...nothing can replace the mechanical diff.

No one said so, but for Average Joe the E-diff is not that bad as some might think.
