BMW 135i Coupé: Sports-Gaudi



Wie viel Sportlichkeit und Fahrspaß sich in ein kompaktes Auto hineinpacken lässt, soll die stärkste Version des neuen BMW 1er Coupés zeigen. Dank Biturbo bringt es der 135i auf 306 PS und 400 Nm Drehmoment.
(How sporty can a small compact car with a powerful engine get? Thanks to twinturbos the 135i pumps out 306-horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.)

Das Drehmoment des Dreiliter-Biturbo-Triebwerks steht über den weiten Bereich von 1.300 bis 5.000 Touren bereit; mit 306 PS rangiert das kleine Auto bereits in der V8-Leistungsklasse. (Most of the torque can be enjoyed between 1,300 and 5,000 RPM. With 306-horsepower, the little car feels like it belongs in the V8 class.)

Hätten die BMW-Techniker auch noch eine Leichtbau-Renaissance realisieren können (der Nullzwei wog nur rund eine Tonne), wäre das neue Coupé eine Spurts-Kanone ersten Ranges. Angesichts der heute geltenden Sicherheits- und Komfortanforderungen wiegt der 135i aber happige 1.485 Kilogramm. (Had BMW engineers been capable of creating a lighter version of this car, it would have been insanely fast. But thanks to today's need for safety and comfort options, the 135i weighs a hefty 1,485 kg.)

Was ihn nicht daran hindern soll, auf kurviger Strecke Rundenzeiten fast wie ein M3 in den Asphalt zu brennen. Ohne die elektronische Abregelung würde er bis 275 km/h laufen. Das serienmäßige Sportfahrwerk ist straff, aber immer noch komfortabel, die hydraulische Servolenkung erweist sich als ein Muster an Zieltreue. (The weight doesn't hinder the car from performing on curvy roads. Without the electric limiter, the 135i would go all the way to 275 km/h. The standard sport suspension is very hard, but still quite comfortable. The hydraulic power steering system is precise.)


Sportliches Coupé für den Alltag (Sporty coupe for daily usage)

Ein besonderes Schmankerl ist das traktionsverbessernde, elektronische Sperrdifferenzial. Auch die Bremsen machen einen hervorragenden Eindruck. Serienmäßig wird der 135i mit knackig zu schaltendem Sechsganggetriebe geliefert, als Extra gibt es eine sehr schnelle Sechsstufen-Sportautomatik von ZF. (We especially valued the electronic locking differential which helps traction. The brakes make a solid impression. The standard 6-speed transmission is precise, an optional 6-speed automatic sport transmission from ZF can be ordered.)

Ein knallhartes, kompromissloses Sportauto à la M3 ist der 1er nicht - eher ein sehr sportliches Coupé für den Alltag, das Fahrspaß garantiert. 38.950 Euro für den 135i sind allerdings ein stolzer Preis. (The 135i is not like an M3, rather it's a sporty car for daily driving that guarantees driving pleasure. 38.950 Euro are needed for this driving fun: expensive.)
