You guys, if you haven't noticed the 135i and the 335i are pretty much identical to each other in size from the front of the car to right after the front seats which means this car will have plenty of space up front and a little bit tighter second row and smaller trunk. And really this car is only 2 inches shorter bumper to bumper than an e46 3 series. I don't consider that to be small............i mean this is no mini.

I'd be all for the 135i based on price, but next to the 335i the 135i just isn't attractive.

And J_M, 6'2 is more than 184 cm. You will not have a single problem with your length.

Hans-Joachim Stück, tall guy, 194 cm (6'3.6) seems to fit right into the 1-series coupé so I would think that most of us have more of a psychological problem fiting in it

Another thing about BMW in general and no less so the 1-series in that its just not photogenic - I find it really hard to find a picture of the 5-door that can do the car justice.

Price? Generally speaking, I believe that the 135 will be $35,000 while the 335 is a about $45,000 to $47,000 though I have my hopes of scoring a brand new 2008 or 2009 335xi for $41,000 once my 330xi lease is up 9/08.

The 135 is tempting, I will hold out for the testdrive and the see how I like the fit. I'm also really curious if the weight trimmings on the 135 make a difference.

My question is, does the 135 even come with an all wheel drive option? I don't think it does. This may be what tips me towards the 335xi.

You're right: only RWD in the 1-series
